The Society's Golden Gift Fund provides for leadership/management seminars and special stipends for a variety of research and professional development activities of DKG members.

One opportunity provided by the Golden Gift Fund is attendance at the Leadership Management Seminar held in even-numbered years in June or July on the campus of the University of Texas. Thirty member-applicants are selected to attend the two-week training in Austin, which is conducted in collaboration with the University's McCombs School of Business.

LaVerne Buchanan from Alpha Nu Chapter attended the 2018 DKG Leadership Management Seminar in Austin. She was the only participant from Virginia among the 30 members selected internationally. The intense two-week training is conducted by DKG and The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business.
